However, we are not willing to stand by and watch our children suffer without doing our very best to be part of the solution. A Mother’s Wish is the most rewarding work I have ever done! Here is what we have been up to this past year, without all of you, none of this would be possible: We are all too busy to be doing this work. The work we are doing is hard, really hard. Now we have become family. We cry with each other, check up on each other, and laugh together. We all started out as strangers fighting the same fight. Over the last 10 years, more Mothers with children dealing with Crohn’s disease have joined AMW. A Mother’s Wish, (AMW) was created by a small group of my friends that wanted to support me and my son Thomas, who was thirteen at the time of his diagnosis with Crohn’s Disease. The truth is that he really started having the pain and problems from the Disease when he was just three years old. I want to thank everyone for being a part of this amazing journey that started in 2009.
